What is Sunday Street Bash Group?

Ok everyone. We want to differ a bit from the normal spend a ton of money to go fast crowd and appeal to more the youngsters and guys who just want to go fast and have fun. So here's an overview of how these races will run and the rules we've put in place.

Racing:

We are going for the true no prep street race type of racing that you'd do with your buddies. We are going to be racing in public parking lots(Location TBA) on the surface that exists there. Track will be blown off but no other prep will be done.

Races are a $15 dollar buy in with $10 to winners pot. 1st and second place will payout.

Racing will be a single elimination bracket race with the winner of each race moving on. 1st round losers can buy back for $5. Buy back drivers will race a separate bracket with the winner back into 2nd round and collecting the buy back pot.

Brackets will be decided by call outs then chip or card draw(Call outs 1st round only). Race winners will be whomever crosses the finish line first. Which will be determined by a human spotter and camera. This is a no time no breakout event first to the finish wins.

Now for the rules.

All cars must run a FACTORY REAR  motor chassis from Traxxas, TLR or Associated. No carbon fiber, No mid motors. Must have a functioning suspension on all 4 corners. Cars WILL be teched when you buy in.

Tires- Must be any widely available shortcourse style tire. 2.2/3.0 wheel. No buggy tires, foam tires or 2.2 tires.

NO TIRE PREP will be allowed on site! We are in a public space and we don't want to be removed because of some random prep concoction spill. This will be randomly spot checked and anyone caught using prep at the event will be DQ'ed and forfeit entry fee.

Bodies - We are trying to encourage more of a street car style body vs the promod/funny car bodies but we will allow any body that can be purchased from a hobby store. Be creative, Paint something pretty and let's have some variety

Electronics- Motor limit is 5.5 turn or 7700kv.

No limit on ESC, or timing.

 2cell batteries only.

Races will be flashlight or Traxxas light start.

Crossing the center line, crashing or running out of bounds is a DQ. First to the finish wins.

Chase is a race if one driver jumps the light, and the second driver chases first to the finish wins. This will be allowed only if both cars are staged and the starter or Traxxas light is in its starting process (Lights coming down).

Burnouts can be on the concrete or on the PROVIDED carpet squares only.

Rules aren't 100% finalized and will be subject to change and will also be reformatted for easier reading. Printed rules will also be available at Hobby haven and Hobbytown.

Again we are trying to draw the kids and the folks that have RTR style cars that want to come out have some fun and maybe make a little money.

We will be having a free test and tune once the weather warms up and we will decide a schedule by then also.
